The DbProf d.o.o. is a small company which has evolved from the consultancy business performed by its owner Jože Senegačnik and was established in year 2010. The name "DbProf" stands for Database Professionals. As the domain name dbprof.com is registered since 2006.

We can help you in assessing your existing system in order to achieve the most efficient use of your investments. If you are developing a new system we can assess your logical and physical data model in order to achieve the optimal performance. We will provide you a roadmap how to use the features available according to your investment in Oracle products and licenses.
Have you ever assessed the recoverability of your database? What is the required time to recover? How secure is your database? We can help you to answer such and similar questions.

Education and Training
The key prerequisite for successful professional work as developer or database administrator is the "knowledge". Many years ago Jože started a series of successful and well accepted training for performance troubleshooting which was developed for the developers and also database administrators. Part of the training given freely to the public are the presentations done by Jože Senegačnik worldwide since 1998. We continue this tradition and are involved in Oracle University's Celebrity Seminars program besides our own seminars. About the DbProf's founder Jože Senegačnik
Jože (Joseph), with nick name Joc (pronounced as Yots), has more than 22 years of experience in working with Oracle products. He began in 1988 with Oracle Database version 4 while 
working for the City of Ljubljana, where he had charge over the city's municipal and geographic information systems. From 1993 to 2003, he worked in developing GIS systems for the Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Republic of Slovenia, and in the development of applications for other governmental institutions, all based on the Oracle database. More recently, he has specialized in performance optimization, having developed his own toolset for monitoring performance and analyzing trace files.
He is a regular speaker at user-group conferences, especially those put on by the Slovenian Oracle Users Group (SIOUG), the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG), and the United Kingdom Oracle Users Group (UKOUG) and many others. He also speaks routinely at the Hotsos Symposium and Oracle Open World. In addition to sharing his knowledge through conference talks, Jože conducts technical seminars organized either by Oracle University or himself. He was awarded Oracle ACE and ACE Director membership for his long record of positive contributions to the Oracle community.
In 2005 Joc was invited to join highly respected OakTable Network.
Joc is also Certified Information System auditor (CISA).
Joc is one of the most active members of the Slovenian Oracle Users Group (SIOUG) and is currently the vice president of the SIOUG board.
Since 2007 he is also a pilot and whenever possible he flies to Oracle related events or his business trips by himself. He is not blogging just about Oracle but also about his flying adventures in Europe. His contribution to aviation community is the Flightmap Slovenia, an application based on GoogleMaps, which is used to dicover the Slovenian airspace and Slovenian airports.
In 2010 he co-authored the book "Expert Oracle Practices" published by Apress.
